The Llyn Motorbike Club are holding a Fundraising Motorbike Ride at Y Maes Pwllheli on 04/03/12 in aid of Dafydd Llywelyn Williams. Aka “Sponge.”

Llywelyn is a 16 years old young man. The son of Llyn Bikers founder Eirian Wyn. Who on his 16th Birthday passed his CBT and is very keen to move on to bigger bikes. Llywelyn is also a Junior Champion Surfer who loves the sea. He also enjoys helping out at the local Lifeboat Station in Abersoch. An all round popular boy.

Tragically Llywelyn was struck down by a car whilst skateboarding home on the 4th September 2011. He suffered horrendous injuries and during the following weeks his family was told twice that he may not survive the night. The following six weeks of what seemed endless visits to theater in Bangor & Liverpool Royal Intensive Care Units, being in an induced coma, life support machine plus Dialysis machine. Llywelyn showed everyone an amazing inner strength to recover.
Sadly his right leg had to be amputated above his right knee.

For a 16 year old boy this is a tragic, devastating life changing situation. But Llywelyn is showing great determination and positiveness. In his own words “Wants to be doing everything he was before but better!”

The Llyn Motorbike Club would like to help by raising money so he can have the care and equipment he needs to carry on with his life. To get him back in the sea and back on two wheels!

Llyn Motorbike Club invites everyone to join them on the 4th March 2012 for their Annual Fundraising Ride Out.

The ride out will be starting from Y Maes Pwllheli.

It will be approximately 100 miles long and will have regular stops along the way. IT IS NOT A RACE.

Signing in will start from 09:30am

The Ride Out will begin at 11:00am.

Donations requested for the run will be £5 per bike.

As many club members and guests have been very busy collecting items for the Fundraising Day Raffle/Auction. Which Llyn Bikers are very greatfull for.
